DRILLING THREADING and REAMING
Formed on the 1st July in 1895 by two German engineers, Ludwig Gunther and Christian Ederhard in Frankfurt Germany under the name of Gunther & Ederhard.
Their objective was to produce the highest quality precision twist drills, taps, countersinks and reamers
1897 Gustav Kleinmond repaced Christian Ederhard and the company was re named Gunther & Kleinmond with the original brand being ILLICO.
1918 saw the start of manufacturing with High Speed Steel material and a new brand was introduced, ILIX.
In 1974 the company changed it's name again to ILIX Prazisionwerkzeuge GmbH
Today the ILIX brand is known and respected in the major global manufacturing markets for quality and innovation, and importantly for it's dedication to customer needs.
